Marketers from across Oklahoma gathered on the evening of April 20 to be recognized for their best work at Oklahoma City’s hallmark of marketing achievement awards – the AMAOKC Marketini Awards. Large agencies went head-to-head with small in-house marketing departments, with judges looking for creative approaches, strategic planning and quantifiable results. A panel of marketing professionals evaluated all entries from seven categories based on criteria such as an understanding of the initial problem, established objectives, strategy, tactics, use of available budget and impressive, quantifiable results. Petra’s submission for the competition was its Email Builder, entered under the Single Marketing Tactic category. The Award of Excellence was given to Petra for creating an in-house email builder and management system that streamlined the existing email marketing process, adding functionality and creating usable reporting tools. Recognized for the associated increases in user productivity, email campaign revenue, and total order revenue, the Email Builder was also given the 2012 Judge’s Choice Award, beating out national marketing firms, ad agencies, PR firms, think tanks and large regional businesses in the process. “Our Web Marketing team created an amazing interface that allows us to better analyze our email statistics – click-thrus, opens, unsubscribes, sales generated, residual sales numbers, etc. – from our efforts,” said Tate Morgan, Executive Vice President. “We were never able to seamlessly tie all of these pieces of data together until now. Now, we save time, have clean data, and can easily make more informed decisions based on our new analytics tools.
