It was presented to the couple during the 2023 Annual Awards Banquet held Thursday, February 2, 2023.
The Stewarts have been cornerstones of the Edmond community for nearly four decades through their business leadership and their support of numerous charitable organizations. Their Edmond-based company, Petra Industries, has grown into one of the largest employers in the area. Beyond its economic impact, Petra focuses on community outreach through volunteerism and charitable giving. The company has also hosted 21 charity golf tournaments, raising over $1 million for well-deserving charities.
Bill and Cindy Stewart are also investing in the future of the Edmond area through the Gabe Stewart Memorial Endowment for the Oklahoma Christian School and the Stewart Family Power of Purpose. These foundations are helping to fund the school’s new performing art center, provide better educational opportunities, and expand faith-based resources for generations of children throughout Edmond.
