EDMOND, Okla. — Petra Industries, the consumer electronic industry’s accessory authority, is excited to announce their partnership with Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to create a world where everyone has a decent and affordable place to live, and they do this by building housing for deserving families. Petra is offering volunteer labor to help make this vision a reality.
On April 13, Habitat for Humanity and Petra partnered up to help build a home for a family in need. Volunteers from departments all across Petra, some of whom rarely see each other on a day-to-day basis, worked shoulder to shoulder. Petra supports these volunteer initiatives by organizing volunteer days, where employees can join charitable groups like Habitat during regular work hours. These days are paid for by Petra as regular work time. Employees can also use volunteer hours for other projects as well.
Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity provides housing for deserving families all across central Oklahoma. With over 900 houses under their belt, they’ve made a huge impact on low-income people who are trying to better their situation. “Habitat for Humanity is a well-known and time-tested organization that lines up with Petra’s values, and we’re excited to be able to work with them,” said Petra President Tate Morgan.
From creating new housing to repairing old housing and offering homeownership education services, they’re changing lives everywhere. Petra is excited to have this chance to work with them, both now and in the future. To find out more about Petra, visit www.petra.com.
