The award is bestowed to an employer who provides competitive employment opportunities in the community for persons with disabilities and helps them succeed. Nominees were judged on their efforts to encourage other businesses to hire persons with disabilities. Members of the community who work with and serve individuals with disabilities nominated recipients of the award.
Petra Industries was nominated by Jade Carter from Dale Rogers Training Center, “Our clients have had nothing but great experiences with Petra. Each one’s growth toward independence has been largely impacted by the team building environment at Petra,” said Carter.
“We’re ecstatic and truly honored to receive this award,” said Tish Zitzow, Executive Vice-President of Petra Industries. “Our team works closely with Dale Rogers Training Center to find positions within our facilities that match a candidate’s qualifications and capabilities to make sure the hire is a win/win for not only the business, but especially for the Petra team member.
