EDMOND, Okla. — Petra Industries, the consumer technology authority and wholesale electronics distributor, is pleased to announce that Ashley Fulk, Corporate Attorney and Director of HR, has been chosen as one of the honorees in the June Dealerscope “40 Under 40” publication.
“40 Under 40” is an annual issue that spotlights young, standout members of the consumer electronics industry who have gone above and beyond in helping take the industry to a new level.
“Ashley is a consummate professional that sees problems as opportunities,” says Pat Jones, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. “She wears a unique hat as our general counsel and HR director, and is able to keep us on the right track on issues ranging from Intellectual Property to first-class incentive programs for employees. Ashley is a perfect sounding board for the executive group on issues that run across the business.”
Fulk has been with Petra since 2012. She joined the company because she wanted a more diverse workday that was more than contracts and risk advisement. She also wanted a thriving workplace where she could get more personally involved. Fulk started at Petra reviewing and negotiating contracts. Then she took on intellectual property management, insurance needs and handling liability claims. When the position of HR director became available, Fulk stepped in to temporarily oversee the office, becoming its permanent director in 2017.
“I’m thankful that Petra has provided me the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally,” says Fulk. “Legal work tends to be very impersonal. So, my work in HR has stretched my perspective way beyond the simple black and white of contracts. Every day is different, as are the challenges, which makes my work here most rewarding.
